ROTM 185.2 Write a prompt fic of your muse interacting with another muse in their life, years from now, where your muse is telling someone something that they don’t want to hear.

Sixteen years, she had chosen to stay away from Nicholas. Sixteen long years, even after Erastos had gone. She had hidden in her London home. Taking a chance, she appeared to her husband, just to see...

... and now a year had gone by. Where mistakes had been admitted and forgotten. Where they had picked up where they had left off. Only now...

It was time.

There was a deep unhappiness in her and she had been unhappy for more than a year. Not with him, no. When she was with him, she was happy. The only time she was happy. It was in her thoughts that she had time to relive her past.

Her lonely past. Alone? No. Lonely? Yes.

She missed her home. Not the large, sweeping house her father had bought her so many years before. The one of beaches and sand. Sunlight and ancient walls that spoke volumes upon volumes of history.

Antigone wanted to go home.

Could she? Could she doom thousands simply to make herself happy? Force others to live in her time warp of bliss? Call upon servants to live in her world, to serve again after nearly twenty of rest? They had worked for three thousand years, could she really ask them to do it again, simply to make her happy?

Her birthright. All that history.

She ached with the need to be free to touch and feel and breathe her homeland again. Not the modern travesty that was Greece, but the golden past that existed where she alone could build it.

Antigone smiled at dinner. She moaned during their lovemaking, and it was, in fact, exquisite. She made breakfast the next morning and kissed him goodbye, lingering only the smallest moment.

Then, and only then, did she say her goodbyes.

==================

Dearest Nicholas,

I love you. I have always loved you. I will always love you. In the end, what I need to tell you is simply this: You always thought yourself unworthy of a goddess. The truth was this: the goddess was unworthy of you.

Forever yours...

To this, she added her engagement ring, choosing to keep her wedding ring for herself. She was, after all, still married. The ring she placed inside the rose colored envelope with the letter. The letter she placed on the nightstand next to his bed. It would be there when he woke.

==================

Dulcie Rose-

I have no idea if you remember, but when I married your father, I wore the tiara my mother gifted me on my first birthday. It was her mother-in-law's and very special to the city of Troy. You were very impressed with the 'Princess' aspect of life, and so I leave this with you now. Girly girl or not, I hope you treasure it as much as I did when my mother gave it to me.

With love, Anne

The envelope was left on Dulcie's dresser, the tiara on top of that, glittering in the room's light.

==================

My darling Doctor,

Thank you. Thank you for showing me more of the universe than I ever imagined possible, and even more than that, thank you for showing me more of myself than I believed existed. Loving you was one of the most precious things I ever did and I will always treasure our time together. My one regret is leaving when I did. My only consolation is in our beautiful goodbye.

With love, Anne

It took a little concentration, but once she found the TARDIS in Cardiff, it was a simple task of using the tiny silver key he had given her in France to enter without knocking. She slid the key into the pale pink envelope and left the envelope on the console where he would be sure to see it. Making sure to shut the door behind her, she tested it to make sure it was locked, then disappeared.

==================

Loki-

I am sorry. Sorry for the way I acted and sorry for the way I treated you. It was never my intention- Well, yes, it was. It WAS my intention to make you angry, irritate you and various other 'bitchy' things, mostly since I saw you at Starbucks with my dad. Nevertheless, I don't want to end it like that, so here is my apology. Do with that what you will.

- Antigone

In Loki's envelope, she placed the large, very gaudy, wedding ring that he had given her on the beach when they had both been under the influence at Eris' party. Shaking her head with a chuckle, she didn't even bother delivering it personally. She had no doubt that Loki had wards and things in place to deter intruders. The envelope landed on his front porch to be opened whenever he saw fit.

==================

Dear Daddy,

I always did like that plant the best.

Love, Princess

Antigone dropped off a small crocus plant in his home office, the note tucked into the leaves. All was said there.

==================

Bill,

You were my closest confidant when I needed a friend and a wonderful lover when I needed comfort. Thank you for all you have done for me in my darkest times.

Love, Anne

The note was tucked into the book he had given her, which was left on his table along with a fresh fruit basket.

==================

Dear Ant,

You are so much more to me than words can say. More than my brother, more than my love. You're just... Ant. That's never been enough for me, until now. Now, I realize that you have always been you and I've always expected more, and I am sorry. I am more sorry than I could ever say. Yes, mistakes may have been made on both sides, but you were also right in saying that it was time to move forward. I will always be yours, first and foremost. That will never change. I love you.

Always, Antigone Grace

The short note was written on a 'Thank You' card from years before and, as she appeared in his study, she conjured a red rose and placed that next to the card. With a smile, she was gone.

==================

With a thought, she appeared in her London home, the furniture covering itself as she walked through the rooms, shutting it down. She knew she wouldn't return, knew her actions were futile.

She changed into the traditional dress of the age, her hair twisting itself into the old style, and appeared on the beach where the magnificent city had once stood. There, growing impossibly in the sand, was the crocus plant her father had planted when she was born. She gave it a sad smile and faced the open space.

Raising her arms slowly, she watched with awe as the city appeared in all it's white and gold glory, the turrets and walls as tall as ever. The bustle of the people was instantaneous. She smiled, not a satisfied smile, still sad.

Inside, she walked down the hall, nodding at those who deferred. And, at the doors to her suite, she paused before nodding at the guards. When she did, they pulled open the double doors and Antigone closed her eyes and smiled against the rush of wind from the ocean as it blew through the room.
